A little something about Hazel

Five years of
little moments...

A story about a little bunny,
and the memories that quietly
became a life.

Today, the little soul behind these memories turns

5

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAZEL

Five years of tiny moments,
beautiful memories,
and one very unmistakable little soul.

Hazel
keep going ↓

Before the memories begin...

Let me tell you
about Hazel.

I have no claim over his story. I was simply there long enough to notice the little things that make Hazel, Hazel.

The way he looks at something before deciding whether it deserves his attention. The way food can suddenly become the most important subject in the world. The way a quiet moment somehow becomes unforgettable when he is in it.

So as these five years unfold, don't just look at the photographs and videos.
Look closely.
Hazel always tells you who he is.

🐾

5 September

05 Β· 09 Β· 2021

A kiddo was born
to spread love.

Before there were five birthdays, countless photographs, journeys, favourite foods and sleepy faces, there was simply Hazel.

A tiny soul entering a world that was completely new to him.

He didn't know the people around him. He didn't know the places. He didn't know the routines. He was simply learning.

And somewhere along the way, a little prince found his people.

🐾

And this is where the story changes

From a little life
to a little home.

The next memories are from the beginning.

Hazel is still tiny here. Still figuring things out. Still discovering what food is, what comfort feels like, and which humans can be trusted.

If you watch carefully, you'll notice something else beginning too.
Hazel's personality.

🐾

And then... 08 Oct

His little world
was about to change.

✦

A mother handed her little one to someone she trusted to care for her prince just as she would.

And that was the beginning of something very special.

I The very first little memories...

A tiny first bath.

One of the first little memories

First
bath.

Growing and glowing.

Still so little. Still discovering everything.

And already there was something unmistakably Hazel about him.

That curious little presence. That tiny face. That quiet way of making an ordinary moment feel worth remembering.

Memory 01 First bath

30 days

Thirty
days old.

How can someone so small already mean so much?

Thirty little days had passed.

Hazel was still learning the world, but the world was already learning him.

Give him a little space, something interesting to look at, and eventually something worth eating β€” and you could almost see his tiny mind putting everything together.

Memory 02 30 days old

Just thirty days of Hazel.

Now watch closely...

This is where
Hazel starts becoming Hazel.

First came the basics: growing, eating, exploring.

Then came opinions.

Strong ones.

Especially about food.
And if there is one thing these next few memories make very clear, Hazel has never been shy about expressing what he likes.

🐾

A very serious coriander fan.

A little personality appears

He found
his favourite.

Soon it became clear that Hazel had very important opinions.

And coriander?
Coriander was not just food.
Coriander was an event.

The little foodie era began.

Memory 03 Coriander love

Trying the good things

Watermelon
days.

Every new taste was a tiny adventure.

Hazel had a way of making food look like a very serious investigation.

A sniff. A pause. A decision.

And then, if approved, absolutely no hesitation.

One happy little bite at a time.

Memory 04 Watermelon

A taste of summer.

The classic bunny favourite.

A bunny being a bunny

Carrot
time.

And of course, there were carrots.

Tiny paws. Happy crunches.

And that unmistakable expression of a bunny who has found something he considers completely acceptable.

Some things are simply meant to be.

Memory 05 Carrot time

Time was moving fast...

Five
months.

Five months.

Old enough for habits to appear. Old enough for preferences to become obvious. Old enough for that little personality to stop being a mystery.

Hazel was no longer simply growing.
He was becoming himself.

Growing faster than we could keep up.

Memory 06 Five months old

Five months of little Hazel.

A million-dollar feeling.

The little things

Wish time
would stop.

There are moments that don't look important while they are happening.

Hazel eating. Hazel resting. Hazel simply existing in his little world.

And somehow those are the moments you want to keep forever.

And somehow, soon he was turning one.

Memory 07 Before one

And then, almost without warning...

The little one
turned one.

This next part is not really about a birthday.

It is about realizing how quickly a tiny life can become part of the rhythm of a home.

One year had passed.
And Hazel had already left more memories behind him than anyone could have imagined.

🐾
II And then came a little milestone...

Before we knew it...

You were
already one.

Somehow, the little one who had just arrived home was already celebrating a whole year of being Hazel.

One tiny year.
A thousand little memories.

And by now, one thing was obvious:
Hazel had no intention of being an ordinary little bunny.

And you were already stealing hearts without even trying.

MEMORY 08 FIRST BIRTHDAY

One year of Hazel.

But one year was only the beginning...

There were still
so many versions
of Hazel to meet.

The next memories are where the personality becomes impossible to miss.

The model. The traveller. The foodie. The sleepy one. The romantic.

And, occasionally...
the little troublemaker.

🐾
III And then his personality took over...

He understood the assignment.

The camera loves him

Strike
a pose.

Some bunnies run from the camera.

Hazel?
Hazel appears to believe the camera exists specifically for him.

One look. One pose. Zero hesitation.

Born to be admired.

Memory 09 Camera poses

A soft spot

Love
has whiskers.

There was room in Hazel's little heart for more than food and attention.

There was room for friendship too.

Especially for a certain cat.

Hazel never seemed particularly interested in whether someone looked different from him.
If the company felt right, that was enough.

Friends come in all shapes and fluffiness.

Memory 10 Cat love

A friendship we did not know we needed.

Pure grace, in bunny form.

The quiet beautiful moments

So much
grace.

Hazel could be funny. Hazel could be dramatic. Hazel could become completely focused when food appeared.

But every now and then, there was this version of him.

Quiet. Gentle. Almost impossibly peaceful.

A little soul, full of light.

Memory 11 Grace & gratitude

The good-boy uniform

Best
dressed.

No ordinary bunny could pull off an outfit with this much confidence.

Hazel did not seem to understand the concept of looking uncomfortable in front of a camera.

If anything, he looked like he had been waiting for this exact moment.

Very good boy. Very serious fashion.

Memory 12 Dress-up day

Dressed for absolutely no occasion.

Handsome Hazel
One handsome little gentleman.

A photograph worth keeping

Handsome
Hazel.

Some photographs capture a moment.

Others capture a personality.

This one feels like the second kind.

The kind of picture you find years later and immediately remember the whole day around it.

This face. Honestly.

Memory 13 Portrait day

And then Hazel discovered something else...

The world
was much bigger
than his home.

What comes next is Hazel outside his usual little kingdom.

New places. New smells. New sounds.

And, as you will soon notice, one very predictable ending to almost every adventure.
Sleep mode.

🐾

A much bigger world

First little
travels.

Then Hazel began to explore.

New views. New smells. New places to investigate.

He looked like a tiny traveller discovering that the world was considerably larger than he had imagined.

Of course, every great adventure eventually required one thing.
A nap.

Adventure is exhausting work, you know.

Memory 14 First travel

Out in the world.

And straight into sleep mode.

Even Santa had a plan.

A festive little scandal

Santa
wanted him.

Apparently, Hazel was so irresistible that even Santa considered taking him home.

Honestly?
Understandable.

But absolutely not allowed.

Nice try, Santa.

Memory 15 Christmas mischief

A seasonal message

Happy New
Year, bro.

Hazel even found his own special way to send good wishes.

Naturally, it had to have a little pahadi style.

Because if Hazel is going to say Happy New Year, he is going to do it properly.

A greeting from the most important member of the family.

Memory 16 New Year 2023

Pahadi wishes, delivered by Hazel.

The injustice of it all.

Late-night thoughts

Grass for me.
Sweets for you?

Hazel had questions.

Very valid questions.

Why is he eating grass while everyone else gets the sweets?

Somewhere inside that little head, a formal complaint was definitely being prepared.

The teasing never ends. Neither does the drama.

Memory 17 Midnight cravings

A little weather report

Rainy-day
joy.

For Hazel, rain was not simply weather.

It was another thing to inspect.

Another sound. Another smell. Another little piece of the world asking for his attention.

Hazel has always seemed very good at finding something interesting in ordinary days.

Some days are better with a little rain.

Memory 18 Rainy Hazel

Rain, but make it a memory.

Home is wherever Hazel is.

A new little chapter

Moving
day.

The boxes moved.
The furniture moved.
The surroundings changed.

Hazel?
Hazel brought the important part with him.

His little personality. His habits. His presence.

Same little prince. New kingdom.

Memory 19 Moving day

An important first

Mangoes
for the first time.

A new fruit entered Hazel's life.

And he took the assignment seriously.

First came the investigation.
Then the taste.
Then the verdict.

The verdict, unsurprisingly, was very positive.

Official taste-test results: one very happy bunny.

Memory 20 First mango

A very successful first mango.

Another year disappeared...

And Hazel
was two.

By now, there was no mystery left.

You could almost predict Hazel.
Food would get his attention.
Sleep would eventually win.
A camera would produce a pose.
And somehow, every celebration became better simply because Hazel was there.

🐾
IV And then, another candle...

Another year of Hazel

Two years
of magic.

The tiny bunny who had only just arrived was already having another birthday.

Time had clearly decided to run.

Two years meant more than another candle.
It meant two years of habits, expressions, adventures, food preferences and tiny routines becoming unmistakably his.

Two years, and twice as loved.

Memory 21 Second birthday

Birthday boy, take one.

Cake was involved, obviously.

The midnight patrol begins.

After-hours investigations

Searching
for snacks.

When the house went quiet, Hazel's working hours apparently began.

There had to be food somewhere.
And Hazel was going to find it.

This is the kind of thing that makes Hazel so easy to understand.
Give him a mission, and he takes it seriously.

A bunny must be prepared.

Memory 22 Midnight food search

A festive blessing

Santa
Hazel.

This time, Hazel was not the one being kidnapped by Santa.

He became Santa himself.

And somehow, that feels exactly right.

Because Hazel has a strange talent for turning ordinary moments into little celebrations.

The cutest kind of Christmas magic.

Memory 23 Santa blessings

Ho ho ho, from Hazel.

One packed schedule.

A day in the life

What a
busy day.

Eat.
Groom.
Rest.
Sleep.

It may not look hectic to us, but Hazel had a very serious routine to maintain.

There is an art to living this well.

Booked and busy, from sunrise to nap time.

Memory 24 Busy-day routine

After a long week

Sunday,
Hazel style.

The week could wait.

Sunday was made for slowing down, looking adorable, and doing exactly as little as possible.

Hazel seemed to understand something humans often forget:
resting is not laziness.
Sometimes it is the entire plan.

Rest is an art form.

Memory 25 Sunday mood
Hazel enjoying a relaxed Sunday
Sunday, as demonstrated by Hazel.

Caught stealing hearts again.

A repeat offender

Hazel the
heart thief.

He had no mask.
No plan.
No apology.

He simply showed up, looked adorable, and walked away with everybody's heart.

Somehow, he has never been caught.
Or perhaps everyone simply decided to let him keep the hearts.

The lootera of our lives.

Memory 26 Heart thief

The romantic era

Trying to
win her over.

Hazel had a soft side too.

There were attempts at charm. Winter-morning coziness. And eventually, a Valentine's moment made for the scrapbook.

Whether the campaign was successful is still up for debate.
But the effort?
Impressive.

A lover boy, apparently.

Memory 27 Love story

The convincing begins.

Soft winter mornings.

Valentine's, the Hazel way.

Do not disturb.

Cute sleeping Hazel
Hazel looking cute

Cuteness overload

Sleepy
little face.

No grand adventure needed.

Sometimes Hazel was simply impossibly cute, asleep, and entirely unaware of the effect he had on everyone watching.

This may be one of his greatest talents.

The kind of quiet you want to keep forever.

Memory 28 Sleepy Hazel

Salt air, tiny paws

First steps
on the beach.

The sand.
The sea.
A completely different world underneath those tiny feet.

Hazel made every adventure feel bigger simply by being curious about it.

And yes, the sandy paws were worth it.

A beach day to remember.

Memory 29 Beach adventure

Those first sandy paws.

Hazel enjoying a beach vacation
Vacation mode: on.

India's tiniest supporter.

A very important celebration

India won.
Hazel cheered.

Some wins are for the whole country.

And some come with a very special bunny sending his own congratulations.

Hazel may be tiny, but apparently his support is national in scale.

A proud little supporter.

Memory 30 World Cup 2024

The perfect formula

Eat. Rest.
Nap. Repeat.

Hazel had discovered the secret to a good life.

Eat when hungry.
Rest when tired.
Nap whenever possible.

He was kind enough to demonstrate this philosophy repeatedly.

Honestly, he might be onto something.

Memory 31 Daily routine

A lifestyle, not a schedule.

Hazel birthday memory
Hazel birthday celebration

Three years of Hazel

Another cake.
Another year.

By then, birthdays were no longer just milestones.

They were proof.

Proof of every funny, gentle, chaotic, sleepy, food-loving little moment that had come before.

Three years of making life softer, funnier, and fuller.

Memory 32 Third birthday

Three years in...

You stop counting
the big moments.

Because Hazel's real story was never only about birthdays.

It was in the photographs that were taken for no particular reason.

The sleepy face. The favourite food. The backpack. The little look.

These are the moments that quietly become the ones people remember most.

🐾
V The photographs that made us stop scrolling...
Cute Hazel memory
Cute Hazel memory

A collection of tiny miracles

Too cute
to move on.

Some photographs do not need a complicated story.

They simply make you stop.

You look once.
Then again.
And somehow, you are still looking.

How is one little face allowed to be this cute?

Memory 33 Cuteness collection Β· I

And then there were more

Still not
over it.

One page simply could not hold all this sweetness.

So here are two more little reasons to pause.

Because with Hazel, "enough photographs" has never really been a thing.

Some memories deserve a whole page to themselves.

Cute Hazel memory

A little blessing

Pure love,
sun-kissed.

There is something quietly magical about Hazel.

A softness that makes ordinary moments feel like they deserve to be remembered.

He does not need to do anything spectacular.
Sometimes simply being there is enough.

Just light, love, and that little face.

Memory 34 Pure love

A small blessing.

Sun-kissed Hazel
Hazel with his favourite coriander
Hazel love snapshot

Favourite things

Coriander
and cuddles.

The things Hazel loved were always very clear.

A little good food.
A lot of love.
Familiar company.
And enough space to be himself.

It turns out, that is a pretty beautiful way to live.

His heart was as full as his snack bowl.

Memory 35 Favourite things

Ready for anything

One look.
A whole journey.

Hazel could look at you once and make the world feel better.

Add his little backpack and suddenly he looked like he had somewhere very important to be.

Perhaps he did.

A complete backpack of happiness.

Memory 36 Little adventurer
Hazel looking cute
Hazel with a backpack

All aboard Hazel's first train journey.

A new kind of adventure

First train
journey.

The world rolled past the window.

Hazel had a whole new adventure to take in.

One little station. One new view. One more story added to his growing collection.

Tiny traveller. Big stories.

Memory 37 Railway journey

Right after the journey

Four years
of Hazel.

And then there was another birthday.

Four years.

Four years of discovering, travelling, eating, sleeping, posing, loving, and quietly becoming the Hazel everyone knows.

Four candles. Infinite memories.

Memory 38 Fourth birthday

Hazel Rakhi memory
Hazel Rakhi memory

A day tied with love

Rakhi
with Hazel.

Festivals became warmer with Hazel in the picture.

A little tradition. A few photographs. A lot of affection.

And somewhere between the rituals and the smiles, Hazel became part of the celebration in his own quiet way.

The sweetest part of every celebration.

Memory 39 Rakhi memories

The safest kind of love

Mama bear
and her prince.

Some bonds do not need explaining.

Hazel and his mama had the kind of love that made every frame feel like home.

It is visible in the way he looks, the way he settles, and the quiet comfort that exists between them.

Some relationships are simply felt.

Divine love, held close.

Memory 40 Mama-bear love
Hazel with mama bear
Hazel with mama bear

Dreaming of the important things.

Even in dreams

Probably
thinking of food.

When Hazel was sleeping, nobody could know exactly what was happening inside his dreams.

But everyone had a pretty strong theory.

If Hazel's waking life was any indication, food was probably involved.

Some dreams are crunchy and green.

Memory 41 Food dreams

A cosy little life

Love, naps,
and his bed.

A calm evening.
His favourite company.
A bed made for relaxing.

Hazel had perfected the gentle life.

No rush. No schedule. Just comfort.

The cutest picture of contentment.

Memory 42 Cosy love
Hazel relaxing with his girlfriend
A very cute Hazel

A love story with green food.

Still his true love

Green food.
Happy Hazel.

After every adventure, every birthday, and every sleepy afternoon, some things never changed.

Green food still had his whole heart.

Some favourites become memories.
Hazel's favourite became a personality trait.

The original favourite, forever.

Memory 43 Green-food love

Five years are built from firsts

And Hazel had
many more to come.

The next chapter is different.

These memories are about Hazel discovering things he had never experienced before.

A flight.
A festival.
A new world.
The sky.
And eventually, the place that mattered most.

Home.

🐾
VI The first times that made his little world bigger...

The sky was waiting

First time
in the air.

This was one of those moments where Hazel's little world suddenly became much bigger.

The air. The movement. The unfamiliar views.

And then there was another little moment that belongs to the same story:
Hazel reaching toward the sky.

Two memories. One feeling.
A tiny traveller discovering just how big the world could be.

Tiny traveller. Endless sky.

Memory 44 First air travel Β· Touching the sky

Ready to fly.

A view he had never seen before.

Every moment, a first.

Somewhere between earth and sky.

He tried to hide. He got caught.

First Rakhi

A shy little
celebration.

Hazel's first Rakhi came with a little hiding, a little teasing, and the warm kind of love that makes a festival feel special.

He may have thought hiding was a good strategy.
It wasn't.

Even a tiny prince cannot hide from love.

Memory 45 First Rakhi

Everything was new

Trying to
understand it all.

Every sound.
Every face.
Every corner.

The world was full of things Hazel had never seen before.

And that curious little look says everything.
He wanted to understand.
He wanted to investigate.
He wanted to know.

Curious eyes. A world full of wonder.

Memory 46 Discovering the world

The beginning of a thousand discoveries.

Where it all became real

First paws
at home.

And then, he stepped into his home.

A tiny moment.
Almost too small to explain.

But sometimes the smallest moments are the ones from which everything begins.

From this little step came five years of stories.

From this little step, a whole life of love began.

Memory 47 First time at home

The first step into a forever home.

And that is Hazel.

Not just five years
of memories.

Five years of little expressions.
Five years of favourite foods.
Five years of adventures.
Five years of birthdays.
Five years of naps.
Five years of being loved.

And the funny thing about Hazel is that none of these moments feel particularly extraordinary on their own.

But put them together…

and slowly, you begin to understand who Hazel really is.

A little prince.
A little foodie.
A little traveller.
A little heart thief.

And somehow, without ever asking for it,
he became a very big part of a very beautiful story.

🐾
🐾

Five years later...

Thank you
for meeting Hazel.

Thank you for taking the time to walk through five years of his little world.

Maybe you came for the photographs.
Maybe you came for the videos.
Maybe you simply wanted to see what makes Hazel so special.

Whatever brought you here, I hope you leave knowing one thing:

Hazel has never needed to do anything extraordinary to be unforgettable.
He simply has to be Hazel.

Five years down. A lifetime of little moments still ahead.

🐾

A letter for Hazel

Some words were
waiting for him.

Five years of little moments, tiny adventures, favourite treats, firsts, travels, and all the love in between.

But before the story ends, there is one last message.

And that's Hazel.

Happy 5th Birthday, Hazel.
